We are seeking a Drives and Power Consultant to join our Rexel Automation Solutions team in Orlando, FL!


Responsible for developing and implementing plan to increase sales in Drives and Power Systems products. Plan must define methods for targeting customers and tracking increase in sales in Florida APR territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing the Drives and Power Systems business plan to increase sales and market share in Florida  market area. 
  • Responsible for achieving the Drives and Power Systems sales goals identified in the planning process.
  • Responsible for targeting conversion opportunities, developing and implementing conversion plan and tracking increase in sales.
  • Responsible for ensuring that projects and new market opportunities are identified and successful sales plans implemented for each.
  • Able to understand market conditions, competitive forces, determine market share, and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Able to develop and implement strategies to attack competition and increase market penetration using marketing tools (i.e., Point of Sale, Direct Mail, local Tele-sales, etc.).
  • Be a technical/commercial resource for the customers and Rexel employees located in the FLA APR and the sales force covering it.
  • Be fully engaged and responsible for the success of national promotion programs from Rockwell Automation with respect to Drives and Power Systems.  Responsible for metrics reporting as required.
  • Actively promote Drives and Power Systems products through participation at local trade shows, customer seminars and other local distributor promotions as a way to increase customer awareness of Rockwell Automation Drives and Power Systems capabilities.
  • Be an advisor and advocate for appropriate Drives and Power Systems inventory to provide excellent customer service.  Add input on existing levels of inventory and inventory for new products.
  • Ensure that demos, literature and other sales collateral material related to Drives and Power Systems are up to date and available in sufficient supply to support the needs of the branches and outside sales force.
  • Ensure the sales force (inside and outside) has a base level of Drives and Power Systems expertise necessary to support daily sales activity.  Implement local training programs to address areas of need. 
  • Use Power BI and sales central to plan, identify, execute, and adjust target opportunities weekly.
  • Use Sales Central/PowerBI and MFG lead systems to measure and drive success regionally.
  • Review proposals for completeness and functionality as well as to offer complimentary services and solutions.
  • Make decisions independently/collaboratively for the good of the customer and company based on experience and logic.
  • Participate in required Distributor Automation University training as required by the NEO Industrial Segment Manager.


  • Provide feedback to RA Area Managers regarding technical and commercial information, new products, promotions, competition and assistance when required.
  • Drives and Power Systems responsibility may also include ancillary products that enhance the distributor’s market position. Act as point of contact for Customer Support and Maintenance Marketing deliverables. 
  • Customers look to Rexel for experience, convenience, cost savings, flexibility, solutions, accountability, simplicity, and transparency. This position requires a person to regularly exceed customer expectations.

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Strong presentation skills in a group and individual situations. 
  • Ability to lead and coordinate the sales teaming efforts (including RA) required to identify and to close account conversion and project sales opportunities for assigned products. 
  • Accountability, transparency. Prioritization, and a general attitude towards getting the right things done is extremely important.
  • Ability to promote the value-add of the assigned products and Rexel value proposition to customers. 
  • Strong arbitration skills to effectively listen, communicate, and gain consensus. 
  • Ability to identify customer needs, propose solutions and close orders for assigned products. 
  • A four-year engineering or technical degree, or appropriate experience. 
  • Willingness and desire to participate in ongoing training to maintain technical and marketing competency. 
  • Sales or marketing experience required 
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers to aid in satisfying customer requirements. 
  • Ability to organize and prioritize job tasks and requirements.
