We are seeking a Sr. IT Architect to join our Rexel Group IT team in Dallas, TX:

 

Summary
The Senior IT Architect is supporting the countries in the technical design and implementation of country IT systems. This position will oversee programs to ensure that the proper architecture is implemented as per the architecture guidelines and principles. Proactively works with the country to define standard patterns that can be leveraged across multiple projects / multiple countries. The Senior IT Architect is a hands-on role that support countries in defining how a program or system is structured. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Act as design authority and provide an assurance role, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables (in-house and external outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing standards, policies, and strategies
  • Lead architecture support to Rexel Group & Countries IT project with the objective to Identify common architectural pattern, promote opportunity of reuse, and setup the enterprise continuum (building block registry)
  • Provide guidance, mentoring and support to the delivery team
  • Work with the other engineering teams to identify and anticipate changing requirements and opportunities to improve the development process and increase the quality of deliverables
  • Communicate status, risks, and requirements to other groups
  • Provide technical and non-technical guidance to the team, both individually and as a group
  • Engage with large cross functional teams like Engineering, DevOps, Database, Networking, Infrastructure, Data, EDW
  • Deep dive into the specifics of a solution and have the ability to challenge and ask the right questions
  • Help drive innovation in the Digital and E-Commerce space (Omni-Channel initiatives, Personalization, Digital Marketing Tools, Order Management Systems, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence)
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related fields
  • 8+ years of experience in the IT field with a proven experience as a Technical Architect

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven track record of driving and leading large-scale architectural projects throughout an entire business through to completion
  • Attention to details – Pay meticulous attention to details and have a deep understanding of how even the smallest details fit into the big picture
  • Experience in Enterprise Architecture across Digital, E-Commerce, supply chain domains
  • Experience in different types of architecture such as SOA, modern microservices architecture using Service Mesh, API Gateways, Native Cloud Technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience in cloud technologies and services related to data management, data processing, data servicing
  • Hands-on experience with software development and system administration
  • Familiar with SaaS and PaaS integration architecture and applications
  • Experience in vendor selection for the new technologies, tools and capabilities. Define selection criteria, RFI, RFP, RFQ and make relevant vendor and product choices
  • Experience is B2B platform setup and management preferred
  • Familiarity with Java, Angular, and Azure technology preferred
