We are seeking an OEM Automation Specialist to join our Rexel USA team in Carrollton, TX!


Summary of Key Responsibilities:

OEM Specialist is responsible for the promotion and commercial support of the Schneider Electric automation to OEM customers. This specialist supports the development of new sales opportunities, as well as addresses and services the needs of established OEM accounts. Utilizes excellent technical knowledge of SE offerings and applications to develop and present winning value propositions for Schneider solutions. Responsible for partnering with the Sales teams to develop account penetration strategies to profitably grow business. Must be knowledgeable in automation and motion control technologies and have strong verbal and written communication skills.


Job Essential Functions 

OEM Specialist is responsible for providing technical and commercial support during the entire sales process from identifying prospects, influencing the specification, negotiating contracts, and post-sale management and support. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited, are: 

  • Actively participates in the JGPA plan to drive growth through collaboration with Schneider Electric OEM Sales Team.
  • Identify prospects and assist in creating entry strategies for each. Educating distributor sales personnel on where to look for automation opportunities.
  •  Utilize the automation industry, product, and business knowledge to create winning value propositions with OEM customers.
  • Execute competitive sales tactics to win business.
  • Capture the needs of the customer and understand the requirements of the machine.
  • Design the most optimized architecture in line with machine requirements and expected performance.
  • Explain and demonstrate the technical advantages of the architecture.
  • Support the OEM customers and sales teams on systems and architectures during the solution sales process.
  • Coordinate deal-crafting, positioning, and contract negotiations.
  • 1Provide post-sale management, support, and service.



  • 5+ years of experience designing, selling, and supporting OEM machine systems and solutions.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of automation platforms with a proven track record of selling and implementing these platforms to achieve business growth.
  • Possesses Small to Medium PLC and Drives applications.
  • Possesses a powerful blend of business and technical savvy, with the ability to conceptualize both technical and commercial strategies.
  • Can communicate the advantages of Schneider Electric’s Industry product and solution offers to customers.



  • 4-year technical undergraduate degree or equivalent experience in a high-tech environment.
