We are seeking a Branch Procurement Leader to support our Rexel team in Captiol Heights, MD!


Branch Procurement Leader – Inventory Focus


Essential Responsibilities

  • Work with System Planner to ensure accuracy of replenishment system data i.e. (lead-time, forecasting, standard package and buy multiplies).
  • Work with branch associates to reduce dead inventory for all responsible Distribution Centers/Hubs/branches.
  • Assist branches with supplier review process/workflow request submission.
  • Assist with negotiations of supplier returns to reduce excess/dead stock.
  • Negotiate returns on requests received from Inventory Planner for all returns that are not pre-negotiated.
  • Work the early warning aging and obso reserve reports with BM’s and applicable sales people to drive disposition (Returns and/or Customer fire sale only).
  • Establish daily procedures to review Broken Tags + Customer returns issued into inventory for Non-Stocked/Non-returnable material to hold applicable Branches accountable
  • Identify product line consolidation on redundant products (where we stock 2+ product lines).
  • Creative thinking; needs to explore any/all options to disposition material to minimize scrap/write off
  • Other duties as assigned by Procurement Director.

Skills, Knowledge, and Education

  • 3-5 Years of professional purchasing/buying experience in the Electrical Distribution Industry.
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office products.
  • Effective communication skills with peers and branch personnel.
  • Solid mathematical skills. Results oriented approach with upward reporting capabilities (Summarizing and progress tracking).
  • Ability to work with branch personnel and supplier representatives to identify new potential stocking items.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize.
