We are looking for a Area Operations Mgr to join Rexel USA in Capitol Heights, MD.

 

We are looking for an Area Operations Manager to support locations in Maryland and Pennsylvania.

T

his position can be based out of Capitol Heights, MD or any Branch in Maryland, Pennsylvania.

 

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of branch locations within Maryland and Pennsylvania.
  • Works with branch managers to establish the budget for the general operations and office activities and strives to maintain costs within that budget.
  • Develops and recommends specific short and long term objectives for the branch operations and office administration.
  • Implements business strategies set forth by senior management as well as reviews and Implements Company and department procedures.
  • Reviews and audits various reports and information such as direct billing edit report, customer credits, customer invoices, and vendor credit listings to ensure accuracy and to verify that appropriate actions are being taken.
  • Authorizes all credits issued to customers including assigning reason codes and deciding if returned goods should be added to inventory, answers questions regarding orders placed through electronic data interchange and investigates and resolves pricing problems and discrepancies as well as processes customer invoices that are exceptions to routine invoicing procedures.
  • Communicates with the appropriate buyer, when necessary, to resolve issues regarding past due credit.
  • Oversees facilities maintenance including communicating with landlords when necessary. Ensures maintenance of office equipment such as copying, fax and telephone equipment as well as purchases and maintains inventory of office supplies.
  • Participates in various committees and task forces and participates in improving the business by offering potential alternatives to existing methods.
  • Organizes, oversees and participates in the year-end inventory and assists the branch warehouse manager with management functions, when necessary. May also act as warehouse supervisor in small branches.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
  • Organization and time management skills, detail oriented, able to prioritize in a multi-tasking environment and ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving abilities.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in Business Administration or Accounting,
  • 3-5 years office management experience or the equivalent.
