Project Manager

As a Project Manager (part of the Operations Support team) at rexel you will deliver an effective project management service encompassing all aspects of property moves, merger, closures, acquisitions and property repairs and maintenance; continuously driving value and the achievement of energy saving standards and innovation where applicable.

The Role:

As a Project Manager for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Ensure all projects/tasks are planned, organised, from design, cost preparation to delivery.
  • Be responsible for effective site management and controls which may include CDM / Health & Safety compliance.
  • Build and enact an effective communication plan so all stakeholders are aware of processes and key accountabilities determined by nature of project.
  • Update and comply with routine reporting, monitoring and tracking systems within the operations framework as directed which will include cost control.
  • Produce routine updates by project/task and ensure all risks are escalated and reported at the earliest opportunity.
  • Liaise in a professional manner with both internal and external stakeholders which includes managing contractors in line with our company values and that any legislative requirements are met.
  • Ensuring all projects/tasks are completed to the agreed company format and standard.

The Person:

As a Project Manager for Rexel, you will need:

  • A good working knowledge of business processes and departmental organisation from working within the business.
  • Demonstrates sound project management skills.
  • Experience and knowledge of liaising and managing shop fit / maintenance contractors.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal, electronic and written to all levels.
  • Able to work collaboratively with all stakeholders as determined by the nature of the project/task.

The Project Manager role is a FULL TIME permanent position MONDAY – FRIDAY and we offer a pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
