Lighting Design Engineer

Rexel UK are currently looking to recruit a Lighting Design Engineer to be based in South London on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a specialist team, where you will learn new skills and expand your product knowledge.

The Role:

As a Lighting Design Engineer for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Grow and develop new business within Lighting Design
  • Utilise all sources of customer information, working in harmony with the Bid Management Team, and other key stakeholders, in order to effectively sell the value and service proposition to the customer base
  • Achieve the sales, profitability and other targets within the nominated customer account base, taking account of Customer Profitability Margin (CPM)
  • Collaborate with all key stakeholders in order to ensure there is full understanding and “buy in” on the service proposition and that it is delivered to the customer.  

 

  • Contribute to the effective operation of the business through active collaboration in activities required as a senior member of the business team.
  • Provide management with required reports, information and feedback to contribute to the effective strategic planning, budgeting and performance and performance management of the business in agreed formats and within agreed timeframes.
  • Ability to work with and develop business opportunities in multiple market sectors - e.g FM / Rail / Utilities / Merchant 

The Person:

As a Lighting Design Engineer for Rexel you will need the following experience:

 

 

  • Strong Commercial Awareness
  • Experience of working within an electrical wholesale environment is preferential, particularly within an internal sales role
  • Experience of working with lighting suppliers
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
  • Knowledge and level of proficiency in the use of IT software packages required; Powerpoint, Word and Excel
