BI Business Partner

As the Business Intelligence Business Partner your role is to drive effective reporting of both management and operational information for the business are you support in line with their business strategy. Translating the requirements of the strategy into quality, quick and consistent outputs utilising reporting and underlying data. Developing, maintaining, and promoting Business Intelligence applications and data sources.

 

The Role:

As a Business Intelligence Business Partner for Rexel, your main responsibilities will be to:

 

  • Proactively understand, develop and influence Management Information in partnership with, and to meet the needs of relevant business area
  • Proactively manage any customer service issues with data, reports and management information relevant to your business area
  • Production and delivery of accurate, timely and usable Management Information and Key Performance Indicators for use throughout Rexel in accordance with the business requirements.
  • Strong communication to manage timings and expectations with key stakeholders to ensure everyone is aware of what will be delivered and by when.
  • Proactively manage any customer service issues with any data, reports, management information relevant to your business area
  • Provide a full-agreed source of transactional and aggregated data to serve all ERP Brands.
  • Monitor, review and update processes required to provide consistent and timely Business Intelligence application response times.
  • Support both the Op Cos and central functions in ongoing use and development of the company’s Management Information Systems to satisfy customer needs.
  • Agree information reporting deliverables with business stakeholders and manage and monitor progress to delivery allowing for flexibility for future development.
  • Select, use and develop to optimisation information gathering, reporting and distribution tools to meet differing business needs, including cost and benefit considerations.
  • Work with the BI Team to understand the capabilities of the Team, the initiatives of the Team, and consulting effectively on common characteristics. Assisting in the knowledge transfer to the team and wider BI audience
  • Proactively support to maximise system uptime and mitigate any business impact
     
     

The Person:

As a Business Intelligence Business Partner for Rexel, you will need:
 

  • Experience in relational databases and ETL techniques.
  • Understanding of Data Modelling and Data Warehousing concepts
  • Experience in using a BI Framework and the purpose of Business Intelligence
  • A high-level understanding of Performance Management systems and the principles thereof
  • Experience in ERP systems AS400, M3 and structures
  • Experience with SQL
  • Ability to analyse multiple sources of information from across an organisation. Ability to communicate and influence with stakeholders across the organisation, providing clear and objective insight into the information shared.
  • Accurately reports to customer and management groups and sets agreed service standards and measures of delivery.
  • Anticipates and pre-empts requests from customers.
  • Leads and manages others in a customer first approach, acting as a role model in demonstrating customer care principles.
     
     

To be a successful Business Intelligence Business Partner at Rexel, you must have:

 

  • Essential experience in administering Business Intelligence applications such as Cognos 11.x and AD Security
  • Professional level of understanding of the Cognos 11 Studios/Toolset
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft SSIS
  • Ability to develop and maintain relational databases with a firm understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and ETL best practices
  • Experience in project planning and implementation on time and accurately.
  • Resourceful, detailed orientated and highly organised.
  • Ability to communicate and influence cross functionally, establishing and maintaining strong working relationships.

 

 

 

This role is a FULL TIME - PERMANENT POSITION and we offer a pension, life assurance and 25 days holiday.
