About the role

The Pricing Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive. 

This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of our Branch Network, market dynamics, customer behaviour, and pricing models. 

The Pricing Manager will collaborate closely with our Central Pricing team, Regional Managers and Branch teams to ensure pricing aligns with overall business objectives.

Some of your key responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy Development
    • Collaborate with Central Pricing team to establish pricing strategies that align with company goals, market conditions and reflect cost structures and profitability targets.
    • Analyse market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to help inform pricing decisions.
    • Develop pricing strategies that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Execute Pricing Strategy throughout the Region
    • Work closely with Regional Management and Branch Network to ensure agreed pricing strategy is executed consistently.
    • Conduct regular reviews of branch pricing activity and coach behaviours and pricing disciplines at all levels within the branch.
    • Assist Branch network with Price and Customer maintenance strategies and actions.
  • Training and Support
    • Provide training, coaching and support to branch teams on pricing strategies, tools, and policies.
    • Act as a resource for pricing-related inquiries and issues.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting
    • Continuously monitor margin and override behaviours and manage remediation and coaching as required
    • Utilise data analytics to assess pricing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  • Price Optimization
    • Conduct regular pricing reviews and adjustments based on market conditions, customer feedback, and sales performance.
    • Align with Regional Management, Sales Team and Branch teams on sales opportunities and margin. 
  • Compliance and Governance
    • Ensure pricing practices comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain documentation and records related to pricing decisions and strategies.         

A bit about you

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pricing management, preferably within the wholesale or distribution sector.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI).
  • High level understanding of pricing strategies, market dynamics, and customer behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field or significant equivalent experience.
