Customer Service Manager

In this hands-on sales role, you’ll be leading the sales team at our flagship Welshpool branch and be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and sales support to some of our largest customers who are the lifeblood of the electrical industry in WA!
*This is not a call-centre role, and if you have predominantly call-centre related experience, this role will not be suitable for your skillset*
A bit about you
- Proven track record in driving day to day and contractual sales
- Electrical wholesaling, trades or building/construction industry experience essential
- Experience and knowledge within the electrical mining/industrial sectors highly desirable
- Experience leading and developing a complex team within a high-volume sales environment
- CRM experience essential along with outstanding customer service skills with a ‘customer first’ mentality
- An eye for detail and a passion for profitable sales
- Ability to influence and negotiate with key stakeholders in a fast paced, high pressure environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise tasks based on urgency for the customer, but with an understanding of the commercial impact to the business
- Thrive in a culture of change and be an advocate for driving change through your team
A bit about your role
- Actively work with our external sales team to maintain and grow our customer base
- Actively grow our account sales and margin through service and off contract opportunities
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the Internal sales team, including coaching, leading and communicating key priorities to create an inclusive culture to build high levels of engagement
- Ability to manage diverse and complex supply contracts in partnership with internal stake holders
- Seek ways you and your team can improve the level of service being offered to our customers
- Monitor workflow through telephony queues, email and other business systems
- Manage escalations and ensure the departments KPI’s are met
- Manage customer DIFOT in line with the contract terms
- Actively manage our CRM system with your team to ensure compliance with business KPI’s
- Ensure customer requests are actioned in a timely manner within allocated timeframes
- Engage with customers, suppliers and sales teams to cultivate strong long-term working relationships.
