The primary purpose of this hands-on development role is to provide expertise to support, develop and enhance the Oracle ERP application and systems integration to improve business efficiencies and processes.

This is a key role responsible for the production support, design, coding and development, testing and maintenance of Oracle applications financial modules following coding standards and industry best practice, to deliver programs and solutions to support business agility. 

Skills & Experience Required

Essential Technical Experience

  • 5+ years of recent experience in Oracle eBusiness technical development related to Oracle financial Application R12.1.3, specialised in AP and AR modules
  • Proven recent work experience using SQL, PL/SQL, API, Forms, Reports and XML Publisher components
  • Experience with software development methodologies and SDLC lifecycle

Other Key Skills

  • Ability to work in a team environment or independently with minimal supervision
  • Advanced knowledge of application design principles, practices, system development and analysis
  • Ability to operate at a conceptual level with proficiency converting business problems into solutions
  • Experience in conducting unit and system integration testing
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication, and change management skills
  • Ability to build positive and professional business relationships 

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in developing and maintaining Oracle APEX application (desirable)
  • Experience in Microsoft Power Platform, Power Automate (desirable)

Key Responsibilities

Solutions Design

  • Evaluate, analyse, and translate technical requirements into robust and sustainable solutions 
  • Clearly articulate technical solutions by: -
    • Creating solution designs which meet business requirements that are clearly documented
    • Making provisions for future enhancements and long term systems sustainability

Operational Excellence

  • Act as a subject matter expert in the technical design, analysis and development/enhancement of the Oracle eBusiness application and related integration with 3rd party applications
  • Leverage industry best practice in establishing sound software development and delivery methodologies
  • Actively seek out continuous service improvement opportunities to increase business efficiency and effectiveness using innovative design thinking
  • Design and develop applications, program enhancements and fixes, and provide robust support of systems
  • Ensure all code is quality assured through sound unit test cases and effective regression testing
